Is there dust inside camera lens of iPhone 5?

I bought my new iPhone 5 on 28th of September from a local Telco.

Today I noticed inside the camera lens there is dust.

I'm very disappointed 😊

I think mostly 90% of iphone5 has the dust inside the camera lens.

I am the mobile reseller(mobile store) in my country and I noticed that every iPhone5 sold out in my store have one or more dusts inside lens, Also I am using i5 and Mine has the same issue about dust.

My bro is using i5 too and he's got dust inside his front camera lens but not in the rear.

Very bad quality for i5 this time!

What is worse, we don't have Apple Store in our country! So no hope for the replacement...

I hope Apple will not do the same hardware error in the next Generation iPhones!!!

I to have this issue there is dust getting in to the lense and it is very noticeable on photos now. I took a photo of a white a4 sheet of paper and what appears to be several black smudges appear this is very frustrating on a £600+ phone its blatently a lack of quality control the lense should be sealed but it obviously isnt and dust is getting in via the power button or another poorly sealed oraphis. Its not just this that iratates me about the 5 it just reaks of poor build quality and cheap parts. The reason you buy a apple product is because of quality functionality and the brilliant cust care and the iphone 5 is definetly lacking in quality its like they dont care anymore the 4 and 4s were brilliant phones the 5 just doesnt compare if id known id of kept my 4s poor show apple report says "must try harder"

Please let us know if the issue arrises again because I'm contemplating getting mine swapped but its a lot of hassle and if its just going to happen again i don't see the point i have ages before warranty runs out so gunna keep checking the forums and see what happens. Maybe it was a error with earlier models in the rush to get them out thats now been rectified. Lets hope

The problem can't solve by replacing the another i5 since the main problem I think is the hardware is not sealed perfectly so that means the replaced one may has dusts inside after using.

Mine has the same problem about this.

Mine had no dust inside by the time I bought and had several dusts inside after using 2 days.

So no hope I guess.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 5. I has been replaced once. I am being very gentle, keeping it out of my dusty pocket until I come up with something. I may just but plastic over the back mic, and only take it off when I take videos.

I have a good guess. The only difference between the all other iPhones and the iPhone 5 is that on the iPhone 5, there is a mic on the back, right beside the camera lens. This is an open part on the back in order for the microphones to receive sound. I think that the microphone somehow allows dust to get into the back of the phone to the inside of the camera lens.

I hope that Apple can come up with something that doesn't cost us more money since it is a phone defect.
