I activated a new iPhone5 but am thinking I want to continue using my old 4S for now. I've reset the 5, so it is back to the factory default but I don't know how to get my 4S phone service back. Can someone help? Thanks! Lynn

I think you'd have to contact your carrier. Did they neuter the 4S after you bought a 5 from them (if in fact you did)?
No one touched my phones but me. I turned on the 5 and as soon as it was done with the set up, my 4S was no longer getting any phone service.
Well that is a pretty simple situation. If you ordered the iPhone 5 from your provider it had a new sim card pre-installed once you activated that phone it de-activated your iPhone 4S sim card. You have to either use the new one in your iPhone 5 or request a new sim from your provider. They can not re-activate your original sim card for the iPhone 4S.
I actually ordered the phone from Apple directly but sounds like this is probably the same issue regardless. Sounds like I now need to make a trip to my local provider. Ugh!
Right I understand that but the iPhone 5 I do believe takes the same micro sim as the iPhone 4S so you should only have to change it to your old phone from the sim port on the side. No visit unless wanting a new sim, then that one would de-activate just as the other did. Hope that helps
