iPod touch 5 release date news

So many of you probably already know this if you have been following the iPods release date, you have probably noticed the iPod has gone from a pre order state to buy now, as with what happened on the iPhone 5 release. If you can share anything such as a video to help prove that it is truly out and people haven't, that would be amazing. When it says I ships in October, I think that meant the first day, considering it isn't pre order anymore and I think resellers get it at around the middle of October, since I saw a shopping site that said it was due to be in stores on october 15.

Shipping is free on all orders over $50.00 anyway! I don't think we are saving anything. Who else got charged 40cents for recycling fee??

Guys,

Do you really believe that person who said they got their shipment e-mail? I looked at that post, and there is no way that Apple really shipped the 5G Touch already. I am going to reply on that post and challenge them to show us proof that Apple shipped them their order.

Also, and no disrespect meant for anyone outside the USA, you're not going to get the device before anyone in the USA. I'm sorry about that, but Apple's hardly released their non-iPhone products internationally at the same time they let the devices out in their home market. Hopefully you get the Touch sometime before the end of October.

Guys think about it. Apple has had trouble keeping up with iPhone 5 demand because of a display shortage. You think they wouldn't divert all new displays towards producing more iPhone 5's which they make money on activating on contract or to making the new iPod Touch? I don't see them releasing the iPod touch until the display shortage is over and they start shipping the backlog of iPhone 5 orders. If they do ship it before this happens I would be very surprised.

It will continue to say "processing" until the ipod is ready to ship! Apple doesnt take your money until the item you ordered is ready to ship, so it will say "processing" and Apple ALWAYS povideds free shipping... I called Target and they said apple told them it comes out around Oct. 20th, but hopefully it comes this week instead

People who pre ordered from the apple store early (depending on how many have been made/ordered) will always get their stuff before they are in stores.
