How do you cancel a call back reminder

I was playing with the phone when I bought it and tried the "Remindme later /When I leave home" option.

Now I get a reminder every time I leave home and no option to cancel or clear the reminder. This may be a useful feature when I am old and losing it though I'll probably not remember why I set it then either.

I have checked all calenders and reminder lists, phone settings and any where else I can think it may be stored and no joy

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Update:

I created another alert which I found in reminders and it was easy to cancel but the original one from a few weeks ago is still lurking somewhere

Have you tried opening the lists (upper left corner of Reminders) and inspecting all the lists? I assume once you find the annoying reminder you will know how to delete it (by editing it).

There may be many lists. My lists look like this (without any explicit tampering on my part -- I just use iCloud to share reminders):

The call back reminder is created in the default reminder list which is configurable. Under Settings, Reminders there is a Default List value for reminders created outside of a specific list. This is where the Phone app will put its reminder

Even if the OP hasn't gotten the issue resolved in the more than two years since this thread was active, that wouldn't have helped. The settings you refer to turn off iCloud back ups of reminders.

Any new reminder shows up in the To Do list and can be edited there. I still have the original reminder that is still working but not visible anywhere.
