dropped my ipad in water, help

yes i did it. dont even ask! i dried it best as, this has happened within the hour. As yet it will not switch on and i dare not charge it.

what should i do and not do? quick help needed!

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6, was in water for about 5secs.

Do not try to turn it on. Put it in a container of dry rice. Leave it there for 4-5 days. Be patient. After that, plug it in, charge it, then try to turn it on. You may get lucky.

cheers slbyard but its the word "mostly" that concerns me. oh and its so like when u gotta scab and u wanna pick that ***** early. i know i shouldnt and i wont, but im dying to try switch it on. i sealed it in jiffy bag wid rice and 4 of my 2yr old daughters junior panty liner thingys. look, i cudnt find no silica ok, gimme a break. i figured that active stuff inside must be a gel bead dessicate too. spose the only thing to do meantime is kick some major butt domination style in MW3. Peace.
