Do not try to turn it on. Put it in a container of dry rice. Leave it there for 4-5 days. Be patient. After that, plug it in, charge it, then try to turn it on. You may get lucky.

Best of luck.

well, if your willing to get it fixed, remove the screen and use a hair dryer

and dry ice wont do much, dry ice will just break it, set it screen down in the sun or something

Do NOT use a hair dryer. That will just drive liquid deeper in. Additionally, taking off the screen is not something to be done by most people. Do NOT put the iPad in direct sunlight.

IOS 6 ON THE IPAD 2?!?!?!

ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!?!?!!?!

IOS 6 is/was intinitally devolped for the I phone/pod 5 and Ipad 3, not your (or mine for a matter of fact) ipad 2, iphone 4, 4s ETC

No, but perhaps you are confused? I'm really not sure what you mean by this post. As Ex_Brit points out, it is most definitely intended for the iPad 2 and the iPhones 4 and 4S. iOS 6 works quite well on my iPhone 4S.

YES MY I-PAD SURVIVED A SPLASH IN THE TUB!!!

This was bound to happen... I had this dangerous habbit of taking my i-pad with me in the bathtub, thinking I' d be careful enough. But then two weeks ago it just slipped out of my hands and into the water. I was mortified but got it out in less than 3 seconds and immediately wrapped it in towels. To my delight, the thing was working just fine still. It hadn't even gone off. But that was only momentarily relief. The next day, it wouldn't even switch on anymore. Only when I put it in the charger, it lit up, but did not charge and lots of features did not work anymore... I couldn't turn up the volume, couldn't switch it off...

In a panic I looked via my pc on the internet for advice and heard about the rice. I had only half a package of rice in the pantry and since I was going on a business trip, I couldn't head to the store anymore for more, nor for those gel sachets. With nothing to lose, I wrapped my i-pad into a plastic zip lock bag, together with about 2 cups of rice. That's it.... Then left on ten day business trip. I came home today and with very little hopes got it out of the bag with that little bit of rice.... And to my amazement.... I am now typing on this very i-pad! All seems to work just fine except for the photo camera. The camera shows a nearly all black image with some green stripes here and there. But since I wasn't really using the camera function... I can live with this. So yes, an i-pad can survive and the rice really did work! Maybe I was just really lucky, but I surely learned my lesson!!!

Hello, I too take the iPad in the bath with me and because I'm so clumsy, I dropped it. I took it out as soon as it went in the water and dried it with the towel. Because it was in a case, I didn't get as wet as it would of but the charger hole and headphone hole were not protected. It was all working fine, like it wasn't even dropped in the bath but when I tried to watch a video, the sound wouldn't work. So I turned up the volume but then a strange hing happened, it said headphones on the little box thing that appears when you change the volume. Idk what to do and I'm scared that if I charge my iPad,I'm will get electrocuted or something because water might still be in the charger hole. Have you got any idea on how to get the water out of both of the holes? you said you retried rice and it worked but where do you put the rice? In the holes? Around the holes? I have no clue so it would help if anyone could give me an idea of what to do asap.
