After upgrading to iOS 6, I don't see the little x icon to delete an app. When I hold the icon for some time, I can see the icons wiggiling, but don't see the "x" mark on the top left corner. As a result I can not delete any app from the phone. Any idea what's happening?

Have you checked Settings>General>Restrictions>Deleting Apps and made sure it's set to "Off"

It was set to "Off" before and I can not delete the apps. I changed it to "On" and now I see the little "x" mark on the top. I would think it works the other way (when "Off" you can delete and when "On" you can not delete as this is a restriction). Am I missing something?
It should be "On", Meg is wrong.
I do not have restrictions enabled at all. However, that does sound a bit weird.
