My iPhone 5 is taking blurry pictures.

My iPhone is taking grainy and blurry pictures the majority of the time. It is quite disappointing since I have used a 4s that I think takes much better pictures.

I bought an iPhone 5 64gb from uk. Accidentally, while I was in a rush, I switched on my phone's camera right from the home screen by sliding on the camera button. I did not allow it to open itself properly and started shooting a video. Usually it should be a little blurred and out of focus for a while until the camera's autofocus auto adjusts itself. But in my case, it became blurred/foggy forever. I thought maybe the camera hardware has gone bad. But I clicked a picture of a close lying object and it was clear again. The moment I would shoot an object 5 feet or 10 feet far, it's back to the same out of focus picture mode. I reset the phones all settings but to no avail. I took a backup of my phone and then restored it but in vain. I finally made a hard reset of my phone and still the problem remans intact. I'm terrified by this experience as I've used all iPhone generation models but I've never seen or faced a hardware problem. That's the reason I love apple products. I live in India currently and it's not possible for me to claim warranty here because apple doesn't give international warranty I suppose. Nor can I send it to UK again to claim warranty and get it replaced. If I sell it in the local market, people won't buy a phone because the camera has gone bad. If they will, it'll be a meagre sum. I forgot to mention that I searched google and read about iPhone's auto focus lock technique by pressing on your screen at a particular area to lock up the focus. It said that to deactivate auto focus lock, click anywhere on the screen and it'll work. This did not work for me as well. I will be thankful to anybody who suggests and advises me in this regard ASAP. Hope you can understand how to hold the latest iPhone and not been able to click pictures with family or friends for such stupid reason. Thanks in anticipation.

In general, all Apple products have an international warranty. For example, my iPad 1 was bought here in Japan and something went wrong with it while I was in the U.S. and I was able to get a replacement at an Apple Store in Boston.

However, there may be extra issues with an iPhone since there are multiple models, which work on different carriers.

I do recommend contacting Apple and seeing if the warranty is good where you are.

In the worst case though, why can't you send it to the UK for repairs?

Hi, Can you please tell me how to contact Apple?
I am in Dubai and I bought and Iphone 5 in one shop here last December 21, 2012.
I notice that the pictures i took is blurred, so I thought it's normal. Until it's bothering me, so

i checked online if there is someone facing the same problem and I've seen this conversation about the

same problem I have. Last week i went to the shop to tell the problem but instead of helping me, they refused to
replace my iphone and they are insisting that the damagaed is caused by me and camera problem is not
cover by one year warranty. I told them to contact Apple and they will replace it but they dont like and i dont know why.
So I want to know if I can contact Apple directly and ask for replacement.

Please help me.

My iPhone 5 is taking blurry pictures.
