Verizon Iphone 5 Not Receving Signals for GSM Overseas

I have Just got an Iphone5 Verizon in India

I have Just Inserted my India GSM Sim Card in it

Phone is Unlocked & Its also Showing the Carrier in About,

But there is No Reception, I Cannot Make Calls or Receive it

Hi to use a Verizon iPhone 5S in India I'll have to purchase it from the apple store or the Verizon store with the two year contract?!

You will have to purchase it for full price at an Apple store, or with a 2 year contract from Verizon. And if it ever needs repair you will have to bring it back to the US.

What are the formalities needed for the two year contract with Verizon? As in I'll be coming as a tourist.

You are probably not eligible, as you must have a US address and a US credit card billed to that address. Assuming you can qualify for that, the cost will be around $100/month (plus or minus, depending on the plan you choose) for 2 years. If you cancel the contract before the 2 years are up there will be an Early Termination Fee which will essentially be the difference between the subsidized cost of the phone and the retail price for an unlocked phone.
