Ladies and Gents can we try and keep this discussion firmly rooted around the facts so far, Apple don’t need mixed signals here!
THE FACTS – (for any iPhone 5 owner regardless of model or where purchased)
. Volume output on any type of headphones (inc apples ear pods) is reduced significantly compared to previous iPhones 3gs/4/4s
. Doesn’t matter what the source or app is either it’s a lower output regardless
. Exchanged phone in apple store for direct replacement and has the same issue, other people I know have the same issue..
. Same issues with any iPhone 5’s white/black any Gigabyte version
. Adaptor is standard and it has nothing to do with this? It accepts any 3.5mm jack end of so it’s not that
. IOS6 installed on 4/4s why is the output volume still ok on these, worrying if people think a patch will fix it (i hope im wrong..)
. The sound quality is not as good - clarity/warmth etc.. as previous iPhones 3gs/4/4s (points to hardware again)
I am starting to be concerned that my thoughts on this are more hardware related and indeed if a new audio chip was used to save weight or amplifier chip maybe, I think apple may be in for some recalls or a fast re think redesign?
On another note I’m not prepared to buy an external mobile headphone amp to cart around to resolve this, as one user said this is and expensive bit of kit we have shelled out for!
Apple this is really not acceptable, as other users mention on here PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS!
