I pre-ordered my iPod touch 5 the day it was released for pre-order, and it's still on "Processing Items" while other people who only just pre-ordered them about a week ago see "Preparing for shipment?"

Wow. I can't believe this. I was one of the first people to pre-order and I still see "processing items" while other people who pre ordered their iPod touch 5s about a week ago see "preparing for shipment?" I'm confused and annoyed. Surely someone who preordered on the 14th of September should get theirs quicker than someone who pre-ordered on say the 25th of September. Don't you agree?

I'm shipping mine to Canada by the way. Surely someone in Canada who preordered theirs 11 days before an American, it should be the Canadian who gets it first? Aren't they being released to the US, Canada and several other countries on the same date?

I'm very confused and disappointed.

I am in Alaska and I ordered a 32gb black/slate iPod touch unengraved and a 32gb blue ipod touch engraved on October 5th. The official release of the iPod touch 5th generation was October right? My order still says processing and now when I check my status I am getting this.

I just got one email. I didn't get a 2nd saying it would arrive sooner than estimated.

If I were you, I would cancel my order and pick one up from your LAD (Local Apple Distributor.) "Ordering" on the 5th will take a while. Maky sure you get to your LAD quick though because they will sell out fast!!!

I live more than 200 miles away from the nearest (LAD) in a remote village. I guess I am just gonna have to be patient, but thanks for the help Fizzybiz.

I have a question, and I'm sorry if it's already been asked a million times.

I ordered a blue ipod touch 5 on October 4, 2012. Been in processing order ever since.

They took the money from my account approximately two days ago, but my order still says processing.

I don't mind waiting, but I'm wondering when I might be able to anticipate a change in status. It says 5-7 days with standard shipping, ships Oct 22-25, but wouldn't my status change before then? Maybe I need to be more patient. 🙂

To give you an idea of the timeframe to receive an iPod Touch:

I preordered an iPod Touch (5^th generation) red 32gb with engraving on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. Status changed to preparing for shipment on Thursday, Oct. 18, and shipped by Fed Ex on Saturday, Oct. 20. My iPod Touch travelled: KUNSHAN CN- SHANGHAI CN- ANCHORAGE, AK- MEMPHIS, TN- OAKLAND, CA-PACHECO, CA- CONCORD, CA-Delivered on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012.
