MAPS andthe cellular network.

Once Maps has a destination loaded and found a route (for example using wifi at home) does it run on the cellular network and keep down loading data or does it just the data it has with GPS. I am travelling abroad and don't want to run up huge 3G bills. Thanks. Nik

It is going to download data over cellular.


You might want to use an app like navigon which has maps built in and hence can work without using up data. Of course these may not free.
