Alternative for Visual FoxPro on OS X?

Does anyone knows any alternative for Visual FoxPro on OS X which can run simple commands, because I do not have any server and I do not need to work on whole programs?

I installed both softwares, but neither of them relates to what I was looking for. I do not really need to create whole databases. I want an anternative for FOX because I am a beginner at highschool in SQL and we are using simple commands like

" ?date() " or " ?sqrt(3) " and so on. These softs ask me for a server account and I do not have any. Thank you anyway!

Check out Lianja http://www.lianja.com

It supports Visual Foxpro syntax and runs on OSX as well as Windows and Linux.

It also has a interactive console allowing you to simply enter Visual Foxpro commands without requiring you to write a program.

Check out OpenXava:

http://www.openxava.org

It's open source, runs in OS X (also in Windows and Linux) and allows you to create database applications rapidly, just like FoxPro, but using a different approach.

Well, that's really not SQL. Is this for a class or something? No one has used Fox Pro much for 20-odd years.

FileMaker Pro and Bento are the closest to Visual Fox Pro.

It depends on the context, what I'm doing, and who I'm doing it with. I'm lucky to work at a place where Perl is popular. For my own stuff, I use Objective-C.
