iTunes Match is Skipping All Tracks and Not Playing

This morning when I went to iTunes all of my music is showing in iTunes but when I go to play a song iTunes starts skipping through all the songs in the album without playing any of them. I am using Itunes Match. I went into song view and when i hit shuffle it started skipping every single song. Anyone else having this problem?

Turn off iTunes Match, Delete All Music, Kill the Music.app, and turn iTunes Match Back On.

1. Turn Off iTunes Match: Settings -> Music -> Turn off Match

2. Delete all Music: Settings -> Usage -> (wait for list to populate) -> Tap Music -> Tap Edit -> Delete Music

3. Kill Music.app -> Double Tap Home. Press and Hold Music Icon. Tap Delete badge

4. Wait about 15 seconds

5. Turn iTunes Match back on.

Hi there!

Yestarday, all of a sudden everything got back to normal! Once again I did what the user CMiYC advised us all to do and (although I had tried that and many others before) the music started playing (streaming and downloading) on all my devises including my AppleTV. I am now sure that this was the provider's fault. Shouldn't anyone say SORRY? 🙂

Cheers and good luck with it...

Before doing this you may want to back up your phone to your computer...

I didn't because I like to live dangerously.

The Problem: iPhone would normally pull the song from iTunes Match but it doesn't because it "thinks" it already has that song stored locally on the phone when in fact it doesn't so it just skips the song and moves on to the next track.

The Fix:

Step 1: Under settings go to the music app and turn off iTunes Match

Step 2: Double tap home button scroll through the "recent apps" at the bottom of the screen and if the music app is there reset it by holding it until there is a red symbol next to it. (Usually a good idea to do this regularly with all apps anyway)

Step 3: Back to settings click general>usage>storage>music>edit then delete all locally stored music (don't need to delete audiobooks or anything other than music)

Step 4: Turn iTunes Match back on and rock the F$@! out!

I've also been dealing with this issue for a while now. I use to be able to play a few after the update and then it slowly progressed to where I can no longer listen to any of my music on my iPhone. This is an inconvenience that is very frustrating. I've tried to purchase something for the terms and conditions as well as turn iTunes Match off and back on. I've even gone to the extreme of wiping my phone and not restoring it but making it a new phone. I feel apple should do something or refund us for the time we weren't able to use this service, because we are after all not getting the services in which we've paid.

No marcam1 you can't say that it's officially resolved when there are others still having to deal with this issue. You may have had yours working since Saturday while mine as of two minutes ago will still not play a single song in my entire library of 119,000 songs. I've paid for my service apple so it would be nice to get to use it.

You know this is the third problem that I've had with iTunes Match and from the looks of it no one is getting any answers or help fixing their issues. iTunes match is an embrassment to Apple, Inc. This isn't the type of products that I have come to know and love from the company that for so many years was **** bent on perfection. iTunes match is crap and I will not be renewing it for next year. I'd advise you all to do the same thing.
