iTunes Match is Skipping All Tracks and Not Playing

This morning when I went to iTunes all of my music is showing in iTunes but when I go to play a song iTunes starts skipping through all the songs in the album without playing any of them. I am using Itunes Match. I went into song view and when i hit shuffle it started skipping every single song. Anyone else having this problem?

iPhone 5, iOS 6

I was having the same problem but It wasn't itunes match for me. See if this solution works for you. Go to store on the top of your window while you have itunes open and click authrorize this computer. All my purchases were able to be played again. When I downloaded the new version of itunes my computer got deauthorized...you may be having a different problem though.

Interesting observation Akamilaris. I went into my iTunes and clicked authorize this computer and it said it was authorized. Maybe I re-authorized it because I also had and option to deauthorize it when I first went into the menu. But the thing is, I had to completely restore my phone to get the music app to work again. And once I restored it and didn't put iTunes Match on it, my music app worked fine. I'm pretty sure this is just another one of many glitches in iTunes Match.

Based on the different things people are experiencing to get it working, I guess people will have to just try each and hope one works.

I just got mine working (iPhone 5). My iPhone 4 worked fine. Haven't checked my ipads yet.

Anyway, just thought I'd list some things others gave, but there was sometimes something missing. In my case, I delete music still on the iphone even though iTunes Match was on. I did them individually (before I saw more detailed instructions here). Fortunately, I only had 44 songs.

Anyway, the path you in Settings is:

Settings>>>General>>>Usage>>>Music

One set of instructions left out "General" which caused me a lot of confusion, especially since there is a "Music" item directly in Settings without going to "General".

Next, it was pointed out that in "Usage", you then select "Music" after the list populates. However, if you are like me, at the end of list of apps, you will have to tap "Show all Apps" because "Music" didn't show in my initial list.

In my case, I had to scroll through a LOT of apps to find "Music". I don't know if it will be the same for everyone, but it turned out to be the last one on my phone so it might be worthwhile to quickly scroll to the end to see. If not there, you can just scroll more slowly back up.

I assume everything else is how others described - I can't check because I had already deleted the music on my iphone so next to "Music" it says "No Data" so tapping it doesn't do anything right now for me.

Hope this helps in case someone went to the wrong "Music" item or something.

This is the second time I've had this problem. I had it on my iPhone 4 the first time and was told to reset everything to factory settings. It worked but I lost pictures and videos and a lot of other stuff (that is supposed to be in the giant Cloud I've paid for but I can't get it back for some reason??).
Anyway....I just did what ClevelandDanny recommended and it worked like a charm! It made total sense to do it that way so I tried it. Thank you!!

I have had this issue twice even without running iMatch.

The first time I solved it my removing all music from my phone, and then re-synching. Strange, but it fixed it.

The second time it ended up being related to the fact I changed my apple passowrd, and so I had to reboot the device and re-enter the password. The reboot was required for it to work. Same is true on the computer - my iMac had to be rebooted.
