Logic won't pick up my keyboard..

I need help.. ok so first off I am using a macbook pro to run logic 9 in and recently just updated my system to mountain lion. I am using (or trying to use) a tascam US-600 interface that connects to my computer via USB the interface connects to my Yamaha keyboard via MIDI cable. Now, before I updated to mountain lion the keyboard worked perfectly. I could plug it in and unplug and plug back in with no problem. The problem is that when either the computer goes to sleep, the USB that is connected to my computer is unplugged, or the piano is turned off logic can't pick it up again unless I restart the computer. I downloaded the most recent driver for my tascam i think.. but I don't know of anything else to do and restarting my computer to use the keyboard is a pain in the neck... any advise or suggestions are much appreciated.. thanks.

Logic Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

From the existing project? yes. i can type on the built in keyboard piano and get noise and hear tracks that are already existing. But when i plug in midi keyboard/ interface i get nothing, unless i restart my computer. When i plug in the interface the green light to indicate the USB connection goes on, but no response from logic.

But the Tascam is a full fledged Audio/MIDI interface.

Either the drivers aren't installed correctly or the Tascam drivers are not Mountain Lion compatible.

You have a decent audio interface, the way it's meant to be used is to have it as both the Input and Output device with your speakers hooked up to the Tascam.. the built-in device is a $2 audio chip that won't sound nearly as good as the Tascam audio output. Doesn't make any difference right now as your Tascam is not recognised.

Try this, reboot the Mac, open Logic and check Preferences/Audio if the Tascam show up, select it for Input, leave the output to built-in for now.

Howdy... I'm using an old M-Audio FireWire 410 with an old Roland HP126 digital piano/MIDI controller, and no matter what I do, I can't get Logic to recognize MIDI input.

I don't think it's a driver issue (because I don't think there are drivers for the HP126). In Audio/MIDI Setup, I can see that the FireWire 410 recognizes MIDI input, which I confirmed with Snoize. I also reset all MIDI drivers, cleared out Logic's controller preferences, tried the MIDI Thru button on the front of the 410, and checked that it's not a MIDI channel issue.

Neither of these are my primary devices anymore, but I've used the FireWire a lot, and I've used the HP126 a lot, so I know they work well. But I've never used them together. Any idea what else I could check?

Thanks in advance!
