I deleted a couple of contacts on my phone and when I go onto my text messages they still show up when I look up names on my text. How do I get rid of it?

Yes, this answer helped me but this is frustrating and they should change it. I just lost *ALL* my contacts because I wanted to delete ONE, since I accidentally texted this person and it was NOT a text intended for him and I was under the impression he was no longer in my phone.
This feature is not a good one.
Just my two cents.
It is a pain and it is APPLE's fault, after all who wrote IOS6.
Especially a pain when the name was misspelled no now you have a saved, invalid name which you could accidentally reuse again instead of just deleting it (or clearing the cache).
