FCPX - Relink, wrong framerate?

Unfortunately, I moved some footage using Finder, which I later found out p!sses off FCPX. Fortunately, the updates gave us back "Relink" to help reload those files which we moved without FCPX's permission.

Here's my issue. I have the files -- THE files that were used originally when FCPX first imported them. I have them. Found them. And click them. BUT-- FCPX (after scanning them) claims that they don't have a matching framerate as the orginal file had.

So, I'm like, "What the phucking phuck...!?" -- These are the same flippin files, what's changed!? More importantly:

What do I do to make FCPX accept the footage so that I can once again have source files for my projects/events?

How do I make FCPX relink the correct files, even though it claims the framerate's wrong?

Please respond. Any advice will be much appreciated.

I'm using FCPX 10.0.5. Any more necessary info needed, just ask and I'll provide it.

I'm having the same problem ("The original file and new file have different audio source and channel counts"). after moving my original media from one drive to another. But the destination drive (WD 3TB My Book) was properly formatted in Mac OS Journaled format. I've tried trashing fcpx 10.0.6 preferences with no luck.

Footage from a gopro and audio files are relinking Ok, but all the videos from a Canon 5D are giving me this error.

Any help appreciated,

Pablo

Carter,

I may have missed it but what format/codec are your original files?

Long shot, however worth a try, take one of the files put it through compressor and back out the otherside as the original file type.

I had a similar issue and had to do a manual replacement of the clips, the timeline does give you the original in and out points of the media which does help the process along.
