Not able to change my homepage.

Never got to step 2 because in Step 1 after I put in my password I never got a response and waited for 1 hour and 55 minutes once. If after putting in the password you hit return then you get a new line ending in a dollar sign $ but hitting return is not in your directions so it is false and that is how I thought I was ready for step 2. But when I was waiting 1 hour and 55 minutes I went to quit terminal and a message appeared saying quitting would cause the running process and it stated that the running process was login,bash, sudo. Thought that meant something but if none of the instructions are for OSX 10.6.8 it means nothing.

I have an older Mac Mini running 10.4.11. Will these instructions work on that computer for getting to the point to change my homepage on that computer?

First I would like to resolve the problem with the MacBook running 10.6.8. Sorry for the confusing that I created.

What's going on is that I am trying to change my homepage. I am running OSX 10.6.8. You gave me a lot of difficult instructions to follow. None of your instructions worked. If you don't know how to change the homepage in 10.6.8 then you should have said so and quit wasting time.

No I never found out how to change the homepage. It should not be hard to change. Pretty well tired of bothering with it for now.
