app store search not working iPhone 5, iOS 6

iPhone 5, os6 white 32 gb, "features" and "search" do not work in the app store. "genius" works but when you click on the ap the description does not show up. In all cases all you see is that the screen is loading then it completes and you have a plain white screen. I have an iPad (first gen) that is able to acess the app store. I have reset my phone, closed out the app and tried to change the time ( which im a pro at since my iphone 5 keeps changing my time and date randomly to the incorrect time and date :-$) and none of this works.

I should also mention that I am on Verizon's network. And tried wifi, LTE and 3G with no luck. My boyfriend who is sitting 6 feet away from me (on the same network, IPhone 5, 32gb, black) can access the app store just fine.

Restored my phone again, the search feature is working again. So everytime the search feature stops working, I have to backup then restore it until Apple fix this software issue.

Did they have any suggestions?

I'm having the same problem with the iTunes app on iPhone 5: when I type in a search, suggested search results appear, but when I select one, I just get a blank white screen.

Search works fine with iTunes on my iPad (3rd generation). So, to buy music, I go to my iPad and buy it there. But that only works if I have both with me.

um, what does your point about how the search function is limited to 25 entries have to do with this discussion?

I just bought my 64gb iPhone 5 on Verizon and after downloading apps this white page issue started happening. I cannot download anymore apps nor see any apps

I was able to fix this problem by restoring my phone. It's a hassle to do but it worked for now.

It's not a hardware issue as it is happening to iPhone 4's and 4S's running the new OS. It has to be an iOS 6 issue. I am also having this problem after the search had been working for the first few weeks of having the phone.

I am having the same issues with the APP Store IPHONE 5 64 GIG Verizon network and I can not do a search , charts, or featured on the app store.

Same issue for me too. Just happened today on my Iphone 5. I noticed a flickering screen first and then did a reset which got rid of the flicker but then noticed the app store, itunes app and also the podcasts app all not functioning

I have the same problem too with my new iphone 5. It has been working fine, and was working last night. I was just going to buy some new apps and songs today and i can't see anything but white pages on my app store AND itunes. The white screen is everywhere, not just in the search field but for featured apps... charts,...etc it just won't work.

Same issue for me. I bought the new iPhone 5, downloaded one app, and now cannot search for any apps, and the "featured" and "chart" tabs aren't working either. Same problem in iTunes as well. Frustrating! Must be a fix coming soon?!

Same issue here with three phones, one iPhone 5, one 4s and one 4. Blank white screen on iTunes and app store. All phones updated to ios6 when first released. Three first gen iPads all working fine. This just started sometime this afternoon - all working fine in the morning.
