iPod Touch 5G Release Date

k so..

I heard it was comming out today, because it is the 1 year anniversary of Steve Jobs' passing. And also because today is the 5th, ipod touch 5g. Five, fith generation, fifth of october. lol it didnt.. I've also heard people's shipments have changed to preparing for shipment, or they have started getting charged. Another thing is that if you are trying to buy it from a 3rd party site, it says it will be available to ship on the 15th. I think they just chose 15 because it is in the middle of the month, and they have no clue and apple didnt tell them anything either. I think its going to come out on this tuesday. Thats jus my prediction. And is there any way of knowing if it has come out or not? other than calling apple or going there?

O crap one more thing, when it comes out, will there be cases/ screen protectors for it? That i could buy from the apple store, or anywhere not online?
