Someone hacked my personal hotspot

Someone hacked my personal hotspot remotely, changed the password and conencted to the internet. Sitting at home I noticed that someone had connected to my phone, when I wen to turn Personal Hotspot off I noticed that my password had been changed to something very weird. I didn't know it was possible to change the password remotely. Is there any way to prevent this from happening or to identify what has connected to my iPhone?

I had the same problem. I have iOS 6 and the new iPhone 5 that I just got a few days ago. I turned on and tested my hotspot with my usual password and everything was fine. Last night I wanted to use my hotspot and to my surprise I had a new password "hacked2469".

Somebody managed to get into my phone and change my password. I also didn't know this was possible. I think Apple has a security leak in the phone.

Thanks NightNinjaPDX. No my phone is not jailbroken, all my apps are downloaded from iTunes. A third party app does seem likely. Although I haven't downloaded anything new recently my regular apps have issued updates. I guess I should inform Apple and give them a list of my apps.

Southroad, my phone suddenly had the pasword fear5777 on it! Here is a list of my non Apple apps, maybe you have one or tow of these on your list too, it could be the culprit:
