airprint won't work on iphone 5, but same printer works fine on ipad

I too have the same problem. HP C310 printer. Iphone 4 IOS 6 finds printer, Ipad 3 IOS 6 finds printer but Iphone 5 IOS 6 will not find printer. Perhaps I'll make a tech contact with Apple.

Iam also am having a problem with the Iphone 5 not backing up to the ICloud. Every attempt, both manual and automatic backups have failed.

There have been issues with iOS 6 Air Print and HP printers. The best bet would be to use ePrint if your printer supports it, or to use a third party app until Air Print is in working order.

thid party app wise u can check for one that your printer may have like hp eprint or another app print n share

i have had tis problem with both my 4S and my iphone 5 - I have a time capsule/airport express which has 2 networks - my normal one and a guest network - sometimes ive noticed my iphone will switch to using the guest network on its own - then i cant print from my phone to my HP airprint printer which is on my regular network - switching the iphone back to my regulaar network solves the problem

i dont know if this is relevant to the problem being reported - oddly my iPad never seems to switch networks on its own so i havent noticed any printing problems from it

Do all of your devices use iOS 6, and are you using Air Print?

I found that my Iphone 5 was accessing a different wi-fi router than the router that the printer was accessing. Two different networks in the house and I didn't noticde that the new iPhone was signed on to the wrong wi fi network. Changed to the shared network and all is fine again. Iphone 5 now finfd the HP Air Print printer.

I was having trouble getting my ipad to find my AirPrint printer...my iphone had no trouble. My fix was closing all my apps that were open then restarting my ipad...that solved. My problem.

I'm having a similar problem. Photos print fine from my iPad but my iPhone 4S will not recognize my HP Photosmart 6520 printer when I try to print photos. My iPhone does recognize the printer for other types of printing though (e.g., emails, web pages, etc).

I have the problem with a Brother Airprint Laserprinter. IPAD and IPHOHNE can access the Printer by URL for adjusting and even printing the configuration. But I can't find the device for printing anything else (docs, photos) not with Iprint&Scan nor airprint. Next tings I'll hopefully try are some apps I found like:activator, hacktivator, handyprint, cortado-workplace, PrintUtilty, eprint. or maybe, I can print directly to the URL

I'could solve the problem by disabling 3G. The Printer was then found and worked allright. After that I could enable 3G again, and it still worked (wonder).
