Mac Pro with updated OSX 10.8.2 freezes no matter what.

After installing OS X 10.8.2 my Mac Pro with 32 Gb Ram freezes within 30 minutes invariably. Tried disconnecting all of the peripherals, unloaded Parallels 8, did a clean reload, quit all applications, nothing seems to make a difference. Would appreciate any additional ideas.

I would read the thread I linked on cpu upgrade to learn the latest - seems some do the firmware to use 1333 and 6-core but may not be essential. Intel modifies their chips at times.

hope you lelft room in wallet for some storage goodies, one I think can really take it up a notch are pcie 6G Sonnet Pro card with 2x240GB SSDs for system or scratch - gets into serious money when you talk about 2x500GB but you also get into 1GB/sec territory too.

Old school SCSI and $2K just to get what one SSD does for $100!

OK... got the new processor, RAM, WD VR 1T hard drive, 256 SSD. The new memory worked great with equipment. Installed the processor, HD and SSD. Now it won't boot.

Red LED's next to Memory and white power switch LED blinks three times than pauses, then repeats.

Took the processor back out and the computer booted normal. I'm guessing the existing system is not yet compatible with the new processor.

Any ideas?
