Is there a voice typing software for Mac?

I am a former windows user and they had a program that typed as you spoke and I have been looking for simular software with Mac. Anyone familiar with any?

iPad, iOS 5.1

If you are running Mountain Lion 10.8 check out System Preferences>Dictation & Speech. It's built in.
