Snow Leopard vs Mountain Lion

I use MacBook 2008 with Mac OS X 10.6.8. If I want to update OS X will it require registration code for OS X Mountain Lion? And what do you advise which one will run better in MacBook 2008, Mountain Lion or Snow Leopard (Easy work without delay)?

Backup your Mac

Go to App Store purchase and install Mountain Lion.

You may want to consider increasing the RAM.

I find that Mountain Lion is better then Snow Leopard.

Just a word of caution.

If you have been running any PPC applications ( AppleWorks is common) under Rosetta they are no longer supported since 10.7 Lion was introduced.
