App Store Not Loading READ HERE!! DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DEVICE!!

Ok Applecare Senior Advisor Tad just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss. He said it should only be a 24 hour or so problem then everything should be up and running again. i have two new ipads and 2 iphone 4's and everythng works fine but my ipad (figures). They are actually going to be calling me tomorrow to follow up on the issue. I will let everyone know if I hear more!

I went to CATEGORIES/CHARTS/ALL CHARTS (upper left corner, i have spanish as my settings language so i don't know how appears on the english version) ....waited untill app icons appeared, went back to FEATURED and problem solved...WEIRD eh? And freaking simple. Maybe it's a Hit or miss glitch.

In addition, i did this with the ipad charging conected to a wall socket. After sincronizing to itunes via wi-fi....what kind of sorcery is this APPLE ....?

Yes. Running IOS 6.1 on Iphone 4.

App Store not loading, blank screen..nothing, today I have also the blank screen, but the menu buttons (search, Top 25, etc, appeared. The same problem either on wifi or 3G. Safari also stopped working today.

I've found a solution trough searching the web.

When conneted to a wifi network, open App Store, when you get blank (don't close it) and go to General»Definitions»Wi-Fi (open the settings of your current wifi connection, blue arrow), at DNS write 8.8.8.8 . Then go all the way back to Definitions Tab.

2 times Home button, to close App store by hitting the icon, till it jiggles, the the minus symbol (upper left «corner of the App Store icon). Go to Main screen and clic on App Store icon. Done. Everyting loaded fine and fast at the App Store.

Check if it works for you also

I appreciate your diligent research and I think this might explain what I have gone through, but not sure; let me explain my predictament and hope you may shed some light.

First, ever since the last upgrade of iTunes and each time I sync'ed directly this has occurred. I loose the 'iTunes & App Store' app buttons and am not able to restore these. Last night, I did it again without thinking and have lost these again, but am not able to restore; I get this reoccurring error and fails to load, no matter the venue I use to re-install them.

Second, regardless of the preset settings to update info from iPad to iMac or vice a versa, it doesn't happen. As if it has a mind of it's own and I loose appointments, contacts and apps.

Now, is this all the same source of the problem"servers" or do they not know.

Conspiracy conscience, the first thing I think of is way out this world. Please, let me know what you think, the problem not the conspiracy. Thanx

Here I am again, stilling waiting for a response from Apple or ANYONE who can assist. How can one get Apple to respond andd fix their problem, much less leave us hanging at their mercy. I still do not have access to my apps on my iPad, much less any "iTunes or App Store" apps on it to sync properly. Does anyone have a suggestion to fix, besides being forced to buy a new generation device and sacrifice a functional one to the heap of unrecyclable devices, like we need more non-degradable debris?

PLEASE, someone respond, maybe even someone from Apple, I don't doubt they review everything posted.

Hi all. I was able to fix this without doing a full restore. I just deleted all the network settings on the device:

General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

After it rebooted, I opened the iTunes Store and it loaded normally!!!!

My thinking for doing this was why do I have to erase everything not related to iTunes for it to work? It must be one of the settings that has screwed up, and the most likely candidate was the network settings.

Hope it works for you!

Further investigation has revealed why performing a Network Setting Reset fixed the issue. The issue is with the DNS server that you are pointing to. After the reset, it reverted to using my routers DNS server settings on my iPod touch and iTunes worked correctly. I then changed the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (Google primary DNS server) and restarted iTunes Store and surprise surprise iTunes no longer worked. I removed the DNS setting, restarted iTunes and it worked again. I then decided to change the DNS server to point to Telstra Bigpond (largest Telco Provider in Australia), restarted ITunes Store again and surprise surprise it no longer worked again.

Now I am not one for conspiracy theories, but two competitors to Apple, which also provide online music offerings AND their DNS servers seem to not reliably resolve requests for Apple' iTunes Store. Could this be... I will leave this to Apple to investigate because if true (and not just a coincidence) would be worth quite a lawsuit.

Apple if you do find this to be true, a finders fee (6-7 figures will do) is payable to my credit card ;)
