I have an Ipod Classic 160GB however I don't know which generation it is, could somebody please let me know?
The specifics from the back of the Ipod are as follows;
Ipod 160BGB
Model: A1238
Serial No: BK1497HA9ZS
EMC: 1273
Rated 5:30V

Thanks very much for your reply. I made an error in the specifics, the EMC no is 2173 not as above and it's the fatter model, not the thin one...
Does that narrow it down?
The thicker model is a sixth generation one.

Is there really a 7th generation now? I see these for sale online. My 160's serial number ends with ...RX9ZU.
