iPhoto movies won't upload

Videos I've taken with my iPhone OR my canon camera that show up in iPhoto. I used to be able to select them at the prompt when uploading to youtube, vimeo, FB etc. Now when I do it dosen't work. Says the file is too small to be a video (Vimeo.com) at about 12kB. Youtube fails as well. It's almost like the file I'm selecting is an alias. I KNOW this used to work. I never had to export from iPhoto to the desktop or iMovie before uploading to a site.

Anyone else having this problem? iPhoto is 9.4.1

Yes. But I shouldn't have to open iPhoto, export the movie, then select that new file from within Safari right?

I'm thinking there could be a permission issue as I "share" this library with another account on the mac. What I'm looking for is confirmation that I should be able to do what I want right? If so I know my problem is probably on the permissions.

I tried this last evening and it appeared to fail, as you describe. However, this morning the video had (finally, after 9 hours) apeared in FB. How long have you waited?

Yeah, FB doesn't give me the error right away but it does immediatley leave the import status bar b/c the file is so small. A real video hangs on the upload status bar while the data is uploaded. Vimeo gives me the error immediately though. I have to assume I have a permissions problem that spung up with the latesst OS or iPhoto update.

Make a new library in your own account. Add a video and try upload that.

I definitely thought this would work. It didn't. Vimeo gave me the error the file is too small. I used the revel in finder in iPhoto and the file is a full 90mb, so it imported correctly. I used a copy from the desktop I had previously exported from your first reply...

I am completely stumped.
