iTune tv show no descriptions?

Recently anytime I download any tv show or movie off of iTunes I no longer get in the description panel what that tv show/movie is about. Why? Whe I watch shows like bleach where episodes are numbered I'd like to be able to see what that episode is about. Is anyone else having this issue? If so do you know how to resolve it? Any help would be greately appreciated.

Two days ago I sent an email to Mr. Cue amongst some others. Detailing this issue and several others with the customer service department. Imagine my surprise when today I look in my inbox and find this reply:

Hello Robert,

We appreciate you taking the time to contact us, I was escalated your email regarding the issue with missing metadata.

I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I wanted to let you know that this issue has now been resolved. To download the corrected version, delete the current copy from your itunes library, then go to the "Purchased" option under the Quick Links section on the iTunes Store to download the new copy. For information on how to delete and download the new copy, go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

If you are still experiencing this issue after download the new copy, please let me know. Also, please know that I have forwarded the feedback regarding the customer service you experienced to our AppleCare management team.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us and providing your feedback.

Since my last post, I have received two more responses to my email campaign to include one from the CEO Mr. Cook through Corporate Executive Relations. They even tried to reach me by phone. They want to schedule a call to discuss the customer service issues that I have had. I have to say that I'm impressed with their response.

Thanks Evoell but I don't feel as if I did anything special. Maybe, I was just the squeakiest wheel. In all honesty, I never expected a response or at least not the response I received. I half figured that my emails would have ended up in some spam or junk mail folder. It was more than a bit surprising.

I already have something on my list that covers your request. From your posts in this thread it would appear as if we have had eerily similar issues with iTunes.

They read everything except they choose whether to reply or not. Whatever the criterials, you probably wrote something good that they actually responded.

It's hard to suggest things now because iTunes 11 is around the corner. But I do really want to see filesizes and surround sound file indicators. Apple never demostrates TV Shows purchases with iTunes 11. But I prefer if they put HD and SD purchases on the same page like Apple TV in the old days. Don't have Apple TV now and don't know how the interface look. Right now, HD and SD purchases are either in separate page or tab. I'm sure with Apple's design prowess, they can achieve everything in one page. Less clicks, less pages loading.

Cheers,

evoell

I had similar problems, but also have another problem when using my iPad 2 to view TV shows (either directly from downloaded content on the iPad or via Home Sharing). It seems descriptions are showing up fine for shows downloaded from iTunes. However, I have ripped DVDs I own, and manually input the description of episodes into the descripion field under the Video tab. It shows up in iTunes on my PC, but not on the iPad.

Does anybody else have this issue? If so, is there a way to fix it? Would be nice to see what the episodes are about, as well as the people who share my library. That's the only reason I spent time inputting the descriptions. I wish there were not so many little but incredibly annoying problems with iTunes and the iPad, it really degrades the user experience and makes me question with the whole Apple marketing hype (or is it becoming a myth?).
