I've installed the iOS 6.0about 4 weeks ago, and now, suddenly my shortcuts are no longer working. I tried adding new ones, deleteing old an recreating them, etc... I expect a quick RCA and solution on this apple bug!

2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.

JFYI. It was working fine with the new iOS 6.0 for about four weeks, until yesterday...
Not just reboot. Did you follow these?
1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.
Maybe helps to clear the Multitasking bar before you Forced Restart your iPhone.
Awesome! Thank you! That worked for me! I let go a bit BEFORE the apple appeared. Took a long time for it to come back on, but my shortcuts are now working. Hurray! Really appreciate your help!

Ok I am going to try this...a little skeptical because I tried something similiar and my short cuts worked for a day or then they didn't and I had to do it again. But I was just basically powering off the phone. So if this works, I WILL post your accolades!
This is what I did step by step and it worked like a charm... I had an iPhone 4 when I did this a few days ago. I have documents and data ON in iCloud...
1. write down or take screenshots of all existing shortcuts
2. delete all shortcuts
3. backup to iCloud (I think this clears all shortcuts you have stored in iCloud)
4. go back to settings-->general-->keyboard... You may notice one or a few generic shortcuts pop up on their own. The one that popped up for me was OMW (on my way)
5. re enter all of your shortcuts and phrases
6. when done, back up again to iCloud (stores your new shortcuts)
I restarted my phone. Shortcuts still worked. I just got a 4S and restored from the iCloud backup mentioned in step 6 and my shortcuts worked on my new phone.

Is there any indication when this issue will actually be fixed? Having to reboot each time is not a "fix" and I encounter this issue multiple times per week.
Sorry that I am late in posting this...but that worked for me!!! No longer having problems with my keyboard shortcuts!!!
Thanks for the fix. I had tried to delete them so I could add them again but they never would delete. After clearing the multitask bar and the forced reboot, the were really deleted and I just entered them again. All gtg now. Thanks again.

this definitely works. i deleted all shortcuts, backed up to icloud, closed all multitasking apps and then hold sleep and home button until the phone rebooted. thanks for the fix
