I just updated Java on this MacBook Air and no longer can play online Yahoo Bridge. I can sign in to yahoo games, I can get to the bridge lounge. But if I am invited, the message is "error logging into server" and all the lounge tables listed disappear. Same if I try to "Watch" another table or "Create" a table. My partner can see me, but ne'er the twain can meet. Please help if you can..

Right now, as I understand it, no one can get in to Yahoo games. Perhaps they are moving servers in advance of the hurricane. Try again tomorrow with your current version. If that does not work, use the Apple instructions to reinstall the previous version or the developer's solution. Both appear in the conversation above.
As stated Yahoo now having problems.
I followed Bob's link--then went to the Mac OS X choices (2) and used the one under the heading JDK. Worked great this morning, then I later had problems which I believe are totally Yahoo related.

I went to apple and followed instructions in "terminal" but it is asking for a password (administrators I assume) I am the admin but the keyboard will not type to allow me to enter password.....arrrrgh! Any suggestions
I have found that if you use the older java and try Safari once and wait the 3 minutes close very thing up then relaunch safari and the go to yahoo games again in one minute the yahoo ads will appear and then the games table will apppear in the next minute. Once the java apppears in bar you can use other browsers(like the java is already loaded in the bar). Also i noticed if you go to yahoo games with the browser Opera it loads immediately. Once the java is loaded in the bar safari yahoo will load immediately. This only works with the older java. I got luckly i have 2 back ups programs. After i found out the new java didn't work i just reversed the back up program to my main one.
