Hello Apple community,
Im currently going back and for on the classified ads trying to sell my Iphone
I feel that by revealing my serial number to the public as to verify my warranty period could be dangerous,
but still necessary in the sale of my phone?
Is it safe to give that info out?

I wouldn't mention the serial number in the ad, but if somebody show genuine interest in buying your phone it is safe to reveal that information.
Besides, it can be easily obtained from the Settings; General; Info pages. With the serial number one can check warranty status online using the Apple web site.

Honestly, there is not much anyone can do with an iPhone SN. The phone's IMEI number is far more important. Checking warranty staus is really about it.

So if its safe to do so, I will be posting it publicly, any objections?
