why an animated gif works in PowerPoint but doesn't animate in Keynote?

I got an animated gif with clouds and a little storm over an umbrella.

This works well in PowerPoint (you can see water falling, frogs moving, ...).

I dragged and dropped it into a Keynote presentation, but there is no animation; the image is freezed.

Is there anything to set?

Thank you for any help.

In Keynote, go to the Metrics tab of the Inspector (6th tab from the left) and click on the image. The Inspector will show you if you have a .gif or a .png. If you do have a .png, that is why there is no animation and it must be a problem with the original file. If it is a .gif, then go to the Quicktime tab of the inspector and make sure that Start Movie on Click in not check. Finally, make sure that you play the slideshow. The .gif won't animate until you play the slideshow.
