chance to see CamConnection Kit for Lightning for Musicians (USB Controllers/Keyboards!)?

since iPad Mini and iPhone got the Lightning connctor

I am a musician and I need the USB connection to my USB Keyboard to control music / synthesizer a

bought the 30€ dock adaptor but the USB Keyboards are no longer supported (dock to Lightning with CamConnection Kit DOESNT WORK)

so, does Apple plan to help us? will the micro USB cable and adaptor to normal USB work with iPhone5 and keyboards and all upcoming iP

Any chance?

to be honest- if not my iPad would be the last I ever bought since I have it for music synth playing!

I own the iPad 2, so I still got time but I hope apple read this and be aware -

I am running a forum where people buy their ipads for the same reason - so all those may not buy one again if this will not be fixed soon.

I assume we all need to buy another new Lightning Cam Connection Kit for 30€,..

hope for an answer!!

Right, there is one just for charging (USB and Micro USB Versions) and the CamKit - of course it only works with CamKit. As mentioned in first posting 😉

Well, my problem is not solved - still. Apple - your turn.

Since I am running a music magazine and forum it should be worth to be a little bit more motivated to get iPhone 5 and iPodTouch users happy - I still have a Lightning CamKit - no use on "small" devices - 35€ wasted. ;(

Thi is my experience..... The Camera Connection kit has NEVER worked on the iPhone 4, (confirmed) and I'm pretty sure it does not work on the iPhone 5 (I don't have one). It only supports iPads.

If you want a solution for dock based iPads, Lightning based iPads and iPhone 4, you can use an iRig MIDI (dock based) for all dock based devices (iPhone and iPad).

Add the Lightning to 30 pin dock adapter to support iPad mini (confirmed) and iPhone 5 (not confirmed). The downside of the iRig MIDI is that it only provides serial MIDI and not MIDI over USB, so a USB music keyboard could not connect directly.

If you need the USB and serial MIDI functionality, then the universal solution is the iConnect MIDI, which allows the connection of USB based MIDI devices like the Korg Nano Pad and the Akai LPK25.

You could also use OSC, but that requires another computer.
