Bootcamp download network error

I'm running the Bootcamp Utility and am at the stage where I have ticked all the boxes and am creating an install drive on a USB stick. During this process Bootcamp consistently fails during download of the apple drivers reporting a network error, despite the network being ok. Is anyone else having this issue?

Can I suggest a method that you can test?

1. Download the 5.1.5640 .zip to a USB using Bootcamp Assistant. It will be unzipped on the USB.

2. Using Disk Utility, create a .dmg from this USB and call it WindowsSupport.dmg.

3. Copy it to /Library/Application\ Support/Bootcamp. Make an additional copy in a different folder as well, in case you need to re-run your test and BCA deletes it.

4. Now run BCA and click on the first two options and rebuild the USB and verify that you have a Bootcamp folder on the new USB and Windows files as well.

I checked with a Wireshark capture and the machine queries the Apple CDN for where to go to look food software, which is local to my country. It will be different for Finland. I am able to download without any issues.

Can you only click on the third option "Install Windows" and complete Windows installation? If yes, the BC drivers can be installed from the direct download after the Windows installation is complete.
