Bootcamp download network error

I'm running the Bootcamp Utility and am at the stage where I have ticked all the boxes and am creating an install drive on a USB stick. During this process Bootcamp consistently fails during download of the apple drivers reporting a network error, despite the network being ok. Is anyone else having this issue?

This is a specific version valid for a specific HW model? Can you please provide the exact year/model of your Mac, which would help in locating the correct drivers.

I called Apple, and they said download the package, but i cant start the setup because it's .EXE.

PLEASE HELP!

If you downloaded the .zip file from Apple, the Bootcamp folder contains a setup.exe file. This file is used (along with the contents of USB) after a successful Windows installation on the Mac.

If you want to try a manual installation of Windows on your Mac please see - How to get Windows 8.1 on Mid 2010 MBP. This was on a MBP with an Optical drive. You can do this in two steps. Put your ISO on the USB using a tool like Rufus USB, install Windows with BC drivers. Once you have Windows fully installed, you can download BC drivers from Apple servers usingthedirect link and install thedrivers.
