Recording videos on Iphone 5 but no sound in playback

I had the same issue, the problem was the screen protector on the back, removed it and works just fine

I just figured this out. I had the same problem. I have a sticker protector on the back of my Iphone 5. At the top, there is the camera lens and flash hole. Between those two is a tiny microphone hole. I didn't know it was even there until I peeled back the sticker. The tiny hole was covered. Once I took it off and recorded a video, the sound was there and normal! Hope this helps!

hello this is happening to me right now, sound is perfect when I record videos with the front facing camera, when I play music or record memos. But when I record a video with back camera, there is a buzzing sound. My iPhone5 doesnt have a screen protector or a case. so I guess that's not the problem. What do you recommend?

I can easily record with Voice memos. But theres a noise when recording videos. Really annoying.

When I record videos on my Iphone and watch them in playback all i hear is a buzzing sound?! I've resetted my settings and restored... it still doesn't work and my phone is 1 week neww.

Thank u for the help I thought i need to bring my iphone to a phone technician i spend 6hours just to now what's wrong how stupid i am it's just a plastic covering the mic LOL...thanks again :)

I just trimmed the back plastic phone protector, and audio works like a charm now!! Let sound get to the microphone on the back by trimming the sticky plastic protective layer!! Good luck!
