i just bought my macbook pro 13.3 inch and i recieved a notification stating that i needed to up date to itunes 10. 7 and OS X update combined 10. 8. 2. once i tried up dating a window came up saying "cannot complete updates due to error 102" can someone help me fix this problem?

So have you tried the Updates tab in the App Store?
yes i have i saw and was notified that i had two updates from the app store, i open up at store click on the "updates" tab and tried updating and thats when it gave me "error 102"
i am downloading the update from the second link you had sent me, hopefully it works after this. ill let you know if it does or doesnt

Did you try re-downloading the 10.8.2 update?
yes i did and i got the same error as i did before downloading 8.1
since the update 10.8.2 requires itunes to update to itunes 7 and the itunes i have right now is itunes 10.6.3 would that block these updates from happening?
I suppose it is possible. Try updating iTunes then try the OS update..
yea im downloading itnues 7 right now, lets see what happens
it downloaded and it saying WARNING THE FOLLOWING DISK IMAGES CANNOT BE OPENED "ITUNES 10.7.DMG NOT RECOGNIZED"
Do you have any anti virus software installed?
the only "virus protection" i have right now is the FIREWALL from security & privacy in system preferences but i turned it off to try downloading it again and same error 102
Not sure if it's good news but I just received the same error (102) while trying to download an Aperature Update...
And after trying the install again (it automatically re-downloaded the file), the update was successful. I guess just keep trying...
