All iPads are / were Dual Band, the change with the 'NEW' New iPad is dual antennas like the iPhone 5 (and possibly simultaneous dual band).
Apple says A6 is 2x as fast as A5, (same X for Quad core graphics).
I for one feel burned. Ordered shortly after iPad 3 release.

I'm wondering the same thing about applecare, if I wanna pony up the 49 for the replacement, will I get the updated version?
I am equally sad about missing the HD front Cam, bought two iPad3s just last week, but I engraved them 😟 so that I cant return it unless i find any faults in it !
Apple Care + will only replace a damaged iPad and it will be replaced with the same model, likely a refurbished one.
It's not the point that iPad3 can't fulfill any usual needs from now.
But the point is that the company changed it principles.
How can I trust Apple from now?
For example, they said: "Meet the very best MacBook Pro Retina! The best MackBook pro ever!"
I beleive in it and give them my money for that thing.
But tomorrow they change their mind and said: "Hello everybody! The VERY new MackBook Pro Retina just arrived! From now with BlackJack and hookers! For the same price."
I ask myself - they jerking me off or what? And they still want me to be their customer?
