New iMac, Why "Audio Input" is missing?

Excited about the new iMac. But I don't understand why Apple has removed the "AUDIO INPUT" from the design. Cause I use it for recording and editing. Is there any other way to have an Audio Input?

You will need to confirm this, but I believe Apple uses a dual port meaning it does either input or output. If that's not the case there are numerous USB devices that will provide the ability to input sound.

Seriously. It's mindboggling and infuriating that Apple has removed such a universal standard. There's literally no way that I've found to record audio into my MacBook Pro (2014) or my brand new iMac (2016) without having to shell out additional money for adapters or interfaces or whatever. So much for the whole "macs just work" philosophy that put them on the map. Additionally, they are crippling their users when it comes to using their very software (Logic, Garage Band, Quick Time, etc.). I expect stupid moves like this from disjointed companies like Microsoft, but not Apple. Times change, I guess.
