NO FaceTime on my new Iphone 5

then why does it work there and not in spain...i had vodafone in qatar and vodafone in spain.

another thing, when i put my vodafone qatar sim facetime icon is back, when i put vodafone spain its not there anymore. Could it be vodafone spain that is not letting me use it?

More likely there is a hack that enables it with the Qatar SIM. Where do you see the "FaceTime icon"?

Vodafone in Qatar and Vodafone in Spain are NOT the same carrier. They may have the same parent, but they are not the same.

If you put your Vodafone Qatar SIM in the phone, facetime will work. If you put a SIM from a different country, it will be disabled.

FaceTime may be unavailable if your device originates from this region and becomes unlocked or is used in another country.

i bought my iphone 5 in Bahrain and ask the sales guy if facetime is available. Because i already told him beforehand that im working in Saudi Arabia, he told me, FACETIME DEPENDS ON THE NETWORK Carrier. No facetime for Saudi on iphone users except for Ipads. so i guess better ask ur phones carrier if its available or not.

I´m in San Salvador. With an US bought iphone5. I have used facetime here before with my iphone4. Now if I search the phone, or the contact, list the button for facetime is NOT there. I AM on wifi, using apps all the time in cafe. NONE of my friends with iphones show facetime button on contact page..help ? Explain ?

i got the same situation, i can use facetime in qatar but not in my own country. so what would be the best thing to do to have facetime in my own country? or i just have to live without facetime. please advise

Sell the phone and buy one that's intended for use in your country.

Go to Settings > General > Restrictions and, if it's available for your phone, enable FaceTime there.
