Apple screws Ipad 3 customers with iPad 4

I purchased iPad 3 two months ago. Now iPad 4 is out and twice as fast. I just wasted 729 dollars? IS nothing going to be done for the loyal apple customers who believed our expensive purchase wouldn't be obsolete in two months? THIS HAS NEVER been apples policy in past to upgrade before a year. Very disappointed

That's just a rumour and rumours don't count.

Have to say love these forums such a friendly community.LOL.

Regarding the iPad 3 here in the UK Apart from Apple banging on about their Retina display they just could not help go on about it also came with 4G LTE. and it was all ready for the soon to roll out of the UK 4 G network.

WRONG...

And although I bought mine in march based on their claim of it being 4G LTE ready.

I took delivery of a brand new iPad 4 4G LTE in November in exchange for my iPad 3.

II'M sure you were disappointed but having been the owner of both apart from the new plug their really is not a lot of difference.

the faster Chip is more hype than anything else I don't play games on mine and the only difference I've found is that it starts up a littile bit faster.

All the real iPad experts out their including gamers don't rate it that much and have all said that it defiantly is not worth upgrading from a 3 to a iPad 4.

and if the rumers are true that Apple are going to launch a iPad 5 in march then just imagine the uproar that's going to cause to people who bought the iPad 4 for Christmas they will have a three month iPad before the next one its a joke.

Why are there so many whinners moaning about their own purchasing decision? So it's Apple's fault that you line up overnight and bought your now-obsoleted gadget? Maybe Apple should release their 10 year product map plan so you can wait 10 years and buy the then-latest gadget? Have a life... Just don't eat, buy the latest one and lost some weight.

I have just spoken to the customer support. I got mine in March 2012. Skipped the iPad2 as i knew it was not 4G. When the iPad3 came out, went to the apple retail store, had a chat with the sales guy and he assured me it was going to work on 4G. Guess what it doesnt. Now apple are saying I should have checked the website. The reason I went to the store is to speak to a "qualified" sales person only to learn that he knew nothing. I am in contact with Trading Standards and will take this matter further.
