I brought an iPod in August, then Apple released the new 5th Gen version. The lovely people at the Apple Store gave me a gift card worth the equivalent of the iPod for use as in-store credit. Now I'm wondering if the new 5th Gen iPod is available to purchase from the Apple Stores in the UK? Was rather hoping to go and get one! 🙂

I did about two weeks ago. They said no, but time has passed, and right now the store is closed. So I was hoping for an answer sooner than tomorrow 🙂
Try using the communities search box in the upper right. search for UK and use the advanced search to restrict the search to the iPod touch forum.

Not sure about Birmingham, but i bought black ipod touch 5g from apple store in meadowhall on monday 15th october. Staff said they had plenty throughout their stores. Hope this helps.

Thanks, certainly fills me with hope! 😀 Hey, you think you could help me with another problem, as you seems so helpful. Does stripping a screw in a macbook void the warranty. Tried Googling, and the theme was no it doesn't, but your knowledge would be useful.
Based on discussions in this forum, I say if you made an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and are nice and honest with them and you did not get the screw out or really do anything to void the warranty I think they will cover it.
