Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT

Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

I have an original iPad that I want to give to a relative. What is best way to remove apps' data, etc but not wipe iOS 5?

Any help is appreciated. I'm thinking remote wipe, but I think that also sets OS back to original. I just want to wipe data, contacts, etc, and establish new Apple ID on device for my relative.

Thanks!

iPad, iOS 5.1.1

The iOS version is not changed by remotely wiping nor by resetting. Tap on your id in Settings > Store and log out of your account, and then do Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings which will put the iPad back to factory defaults (iOS will remain at its current version)
