Hi, my itunes is not wokring on windows 8 pro.
Any ideas how?
If all my musics, purchased, iphone backup are gone from itunes, what should i do?
removed my itune all together downloaded the latest version and seems to be working just fine.
It did however take some time before it recognized my iPhone 4 🙂
Use Program compatible troubleshooter did help in my case.
The case turned out that I open Office while install itunes. When I close it when the trouble shooter mentioned, itunes installed well.
I have microsoft 8 pro. Every time I try to burn a cd in Itunes, I get the following message. "You have inserted a blank DVD but originally selected a CD format. Are you sure you wish to create a data DVD instead?'
I have inserted a blank CD, but repeatedly get same message. Is there a fix for this?
Thankyou soooooo much !!!
i had no hope, but finally it workeddd !!!
and moreover can anyone tell me, how to import images from iPod touch to laptop ?
cuz after i had windows 8, it aint opening the images folder through computer ??
It should open the phone and have a really quick pop up on the top right of the screen to tell ask you what you want to do, if not just click on the windows key (usually on the left side of the keyboard) and E at the same time to open the file explorer and it should be in there.
Just thoiught i would share something i found that is working for me. I downloaded a driver finder program instead of relying on the manufacturers updated software and found i need 17 drivers. Got all the drivers updated. Opened Itunes and in setting checked off enable disk storage and have not had any problems since. I found this solution here: http://www.reviversoft.com/blog/2012/12/wdf-violation/
I still have the compatability set for win7 though. I will see if it works with win8 later.
THANK YOU SNOOP08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had this problem for forever and it was driving me crazy! You are my hero, it finally works!
I did the following:
1. Log in as Administrator
2. Go to Contro Panel
3, Select Programs and Features
4. Select Apple Mobil Device Support
5. Select Repair
6. Log back in under my regular user name
Works like a champ now!
tried this. doesn't help.
After many failed attempts to get my iPhone and iPad to synch in Windows 8 I tried this: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
It worked! Hallelujah.
I dicovered that updating Quicktime player allowed me to install iTunes on Windows 8 PRO.
I found the solution!!! Even ended up educating the tech -- who didn't have a clue.
I have a brand new 7th gen iPod Nano, a brand new Windows 8 laptop, and iTunes 11. Everything was working all fine and dandy until I unchecked "Enable Disc Usage in iTunes on my iPod. Then all **** broke loose. I got the blue screen of death with the WDF_violation and I couldn't even plug my Nano in without it crashing my computer, let alone access iTunes to re-enable Disc Usage. Because the crashes happened immediately after I did that I just KNEW it had something to do with that. Trouble is, I couldn't fix it.... or so I thought.
I was on the phone with the tech, who was telling me it was a driver issue ( impossible because both the laptop and iPod are brand new) and I was looking around in iTunes while she did.
HERE IS YOUR SOLUTION: Edit --> Preferences --> Devices. Check Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Then plug in your iPod, re-enable the Disc Usage, and voile!!!!!! Problem solved.
I tried everything to install itunes 64 bit to window 8,
Running the itunes64setup.exe as an administrator or changing the compatibility to windows 7 or vista didn't work for me.
The trick is itunes64setup.exe can be "exracted" with winrar or winzip or similar programs.
But my windows 8 laptop "can not execute" it so my husband exract the itunes64setup.exe file for me on his computer.
The folder contains 6 files:
AppleApplicationSupport.msi
AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi
AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
Bonjour64.msi
iTunes64.msi
SetupAdmin.exe
You can try to install them one by one and see if it is working for you.
I have a 64bit Asus laptop with Win8.
I downloaded 64bit version from apple but when I try to install i receive following error : this app cannot be run!
The website on this link http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1615of iTunes 11.1 for Windows (64-bit) says that about requirements following :
64-bit editions of Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer .
which I satisfy.
No clue!
I was getting the "iTunes has stopped working error". I fixed it by going to the "My Music" folder and looked at the FILE ATTRIBUTES. In my case the "READ ONLY" attribute was checked. I UNCHECKED the "READ ONLY" attribute and everything started working as it should.
