I don't think that an app can prevent a person from taking your iphone.

Probably not. Any app is too easy to wipe by restoring the phone to factory condition.

Although not designed for theft, it is recommended to enable Find my iPhone.

Enable it under Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone ON.

In the event that you lose it, track it at http://icloud.com

In addition to Find my iPhone, consider a label with your home phone number or some other contact information on the back.

I have found a few iPhones. The number with any identification on them whatsoever? Zero.

this is a really good question. before stepping up for apple i was with nokia, samsung and sony

with samsung products they have like this security thing which you activate and whenever the SIM cards changed itll send you alerts of which number is currently on the phone. same goes for my sony experia z. i downloaded an app called netqin and it sure did me a lot! i tried downloading it on apple but couldnt. its a pity we pay more to apple yet we still dont get our lost iphones back.

Maybe he means like they have in Apple stores? The display iPhones in the store are fastened there to prevent theft... Maybe aeron wants something like that?

Perhaps this is the thing of the future! I will put an iPhone on my front porch. If someone comes there to see me, but I am not home, the iPhone will be programmed to let him reach me wherever I am... But of course the iPhone has to be securely fastened there to prevent theft.

You haven't asked for any help in any way I can comprehend. All I've seen is are complaints, and if that's what you want to do, I've given you the link to Apple's feedback pages where you can complain to them.
