My iPod Touch (version 4) home screen wallpaper disappeared. How can I restore it?

Greetings,

I have an older version of iPod Touch, for which the latest OS won't work. I noticed that now my homescreen is black and I no longer have the option of setting homescreen wallpaper. What happened? How can I get my precious image back on my homescreen? How can I set both lock and homescreen wallpaper?

Thanks for your help,

D

What model iPod do you have?

Identifying iPhone models

The 2G iPod does not support Home Screen wallpaper.

If you iPod had it before

Try:

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup

- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
