iOS 6.0.1 WiFi Still Greyed Out

My iPhone's WiFi was working great on iOS 6 when it first came out, no problems whatsoever, until last week it failed over night without me knowing. The WiFi option was still available but unable to connect to my home network and when I rebooted the phone, the WiFI was greyed out. It has not been working since.

I waited for iOS 6.0.1 to come out as I understood that this was supposed to fix the problem many users with iOS 6 have been facing with WiFi connections, but this has not worked. I do not understand why it has failed. I bought this 4S in February and have never dropped it and it has always been in a case. The WiFi was working great before I went to bed and the next morning it was no longer working.

I have reseted the network settings, restored the phone and even tried using the phone as new and this has still not fixed the problem.

Well, i had the same problem too. But, i went to Apple Store, and they told me have WATER, yes.. WATER on the "wifi thing". I don't know why, because I never even dropped my phone on the floor, so.. no water there. I am SURE!

They said the warranty don't support personal damage, so I need to pay $199 to replace my phone. It's UNFAIR, I am ****** with Apple right now. My phone don't have 2 months still.

Ah, The old "water in the iPhone trick." I'm pretty sure this is an illegal way for Apple to void most of its warranties. The moisture indicator is INSIDE the phone--how can they tell whether it got wet while in my possession, or during shipping to an apple store, or while in inventory, or whether some poor Chinese indentured servant spilled his daily ration of water during assembly?

And it's not even that they think the water damaged the phone, btw. It's just that it's in the terms of use that if that little indicator turns pink, it voids the warranty. I guarantee that strip turns pink the first time you cough or sneeze on the phone. The freaking earth is mostly water! I'm mostly water! It really shows the evil genius of apple.

It's almost as bad as saying, "That wifi issue is a hardware issue, but only on the kind of hardware that has iOS 6." In some places, you big dummies, that's also called a software issue.

After a few months of updating to iOS 6.0.1 my 4S wifi went blank (greyed out), it had no option for turning on Wifi. My phone had turned into a snicker bar. I did the following...after I accidentally let the phone died due to 0% battery.

1. Restored with iTunes

2. Holding both buttons at the same time (Top & Home Button)

3. Let the phone died completely by draining its battery

4. Repeat step 2 = it works again!!!!

Had the same problem for 2 days, tried all the tricks around apart from the heating and cooling and nothing worked. Went to apple store they took the phone left me for 5 minutes and came back saying that it is a fault that happens quite often after iOS upgrade and simply got me a new phone with 90 days warranty saying if the same thing happens again don't book an appointment just come straight to the store and we will replace it again. Also they recommended not to upgrade the iOS in the near coming future.

So I suggest paying them a visit before fiddling around with your phone; nothing to loose.

Thanks Apple.
