Is there a defined timeline for iTunes to be supported on Windows 8?

Apple has not made any statements about plans for Windows 8 compatibility as of yet. It's possible that the upcoming iTunes 11 will officially support Win 8, but we'll have to wait for futher information from Apple.

I installed iTunes on my Windows Pro system, and I can't get iTunes to shutdown. I have to go into the Task Manager to kill iTunes. It is also listed as '32-bit', and not 64-bit as I expected. Is that part of the problem I wonder...
To date iTunes is a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer for installing on 64-bit machines. That isn't part of the problem.
